What a Day Looks Like At Rocksprings Wellness
A day at Rocksprings Wellness follows a steady, predictable rhythm designed to support safety, regulation, and meaningful participation—without feeling rushed or clinical.
There is structure here, but also room to breathe.
Arrival & Morning Circle
10:00 – 10:30 AM
The day begins with arrival and a Morning Circle, where participants gather to get oriented, check in, and set intentions for the day.
This time helps create a sense of grounding and connection—knowing where you are, what the day holds, and that support is available. The focus is on safety, presence, and starting the day with clarity.
Skill Block: Experiential & Regrounding Activities
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Late morning is dedicated to Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) and experiential learning, which includes the Rocksprings Regrounding Program.
This part of the day emphasizes reconnecting with yourself through movement, routine, and interaction with the environment. Activities may include:
Gardening and land-based projects
Caring for shared indoor and outdoor spaces
Creative arts and hands-on skill-building
Gentle movement and wellness practices
Time outdoors interacting with the property
The goal isn’t productivity—it’s regulation, presence, and skill-building through experience. Many participants find that working with the land or engaging in hands-on activities helps create a sense of grounding that traditional indoor settings don’t always offer.
Shared Lunch
12:30 – 1:00 PM
Lunch is a shared, relaxed part of the day. It provides time to pause, refuel, and connect informally with others.
There’s no pressure to socialize—this time is about nourishment and rest before the afternoon programming begins.
Group Therapy
1:00 – 2:00 PM
Each afternoon includes group therapy led by a licensed clinician.
Groups focus on topics such as emotional regulation, coping strategies, communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and symptom management. Sessions are trauma-informed and facilitated with respect for boundaries and lived experience.
You’re encouraged to participate in ways that feel manageable. Listening is participation, too.
Wellness Practices & Restoration (Offered Throughout the Week)
In addition to daily programming, participants may have opportunities to engage in optional wellness practices, including:
Guided meditation
Gentle yoga or stretching
Breathwork and grounding exercises
These offerings are accessible, low-pressure, and designed for all experience levels. Participation is always voluntary.
Quiet, restorative options are also available during this time, including access to calming spaces such as the library and the salt lounge, where participants may take part in salt “baths” designed to support relaxation and nervous system regulation.
Consistency, Safety, & Support
Each day follows the same general structure to support predictability and safety. Staff check in regularly regarding wellness, goals, and needs, and support is available throughout the day.
Rocksprings Wellness is designed to be a space where people can engage in real mental health care while remaining connected to their community and daily life.
A Note on Pace
You don’t have to do everything.
You don’t have to participate perfectly.
You don’t have to arrive in crisis.
A day at Rocksprings Wellness is about showing up, being supported, and spending time in an environment designed to help you settle—mentally, physically, and emotionally.
